n8n
The Social Champ node for n8n lets a workflow list your connected channels and create posts. A post can go out right away, join the queue, or be scheduled for a set time.
| Package | @socialchampio/n8n-nodes-socialchamp |

Install the node
The node is a verified n8n community node, so you can add it from the nodes panel on n8n Cloud and on self-hosted n8n.
- Open a workflow and select + to open the nodes panel.
- Search for Social Champ.
- Select the node, then select Install.
On self-hosted n8n, you can also install it from npm. Go to Settings →
Community Nodes, select Install, and enter
@socialchampio/n8n-nodes-socialchamp. Only an owner or admin can install
community nodes on a self-hosted instance.
Add your credential
The node signs in with a Social Champ API key.
- Create a key in Social Champ under Settings → Developer → API Keys.
- In n8n, add a Social Champ API credential and paste the key into API Key.
- Leave Base URL as
https://www.socialchamp.com/secure/api/v1, unless we gave you a different host. - Select Test. n8n requests your channel list to check that the key works.
The key is stored in n8n's credential store. It is not included when you export a workflow, so you can share the workflow JSON safely.
Operations
Channel → Get Many
Returns the channels the key can post to.
{
"id": "6512a71c0be0b54def4c11ab",
"name": "Acme Marketing",
"type": "IG_BUSINESS",
"typeLabel": "Instagram Professional",
"profileImg": "https://…",
"workspaceId": "64ab…"
}
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Return All | On by default. Turn it off to set a Limit. |
| Workspace ID | Optional. Returns only the channels in one workspace. Run the operation once without it to find the IDs. |
The node adds typeLabel so that the platform name matches what you see in the
Social Champ app.
Post → Create
Creates one post on each channel you select.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Channel Names or IDs | Loaded from your account. You can also pass IDs with an expression. |
| Text | The post text. Each platform's length limit still applies. |
| Timing | Publish Now, Add to Queue (Next), Add to Queue (Last), or Schedule for a Specific Time. The default is to schedule. |
| Date and Time | Required when you schedule. |
| Image URL | Optional, under Additional Fields. The URL must stay public until the post is published. |
| Idempotency Key | Optional, under Additional Fields. See Known limits. |
Include a time zone when you schedule. The node converts the time to UTC before sending it, so give it a value with an explicit offset:
2026-10-14T09:30:00Zpublishes at 09:30 UTC.2026-10-14T14:30:00+05:00also publishes at 09:30 UTC.
A value without an offset, such as 2026-10-14T09:30:00, uses the clock of the
machine running n8n. In a shared workflow, that is rarely what you want.
Use it with an AI Agent
The node can be used as a tool, so an n8n AI Agent can call it to read your channels and create posts. Give the agent the node, then describe the post you want in the prompt.
Errors and retries
| Response | What the node does |
|---|---|
400 or 401, invalid key | Stops right away and points you to the credential. |
403 | Stops right away. The key does not have permission for this action. |
429 | Tries up to 3 times in total. It waits for Retry-After when the response includes it, and otherwise waits longer each time, up to 30 seconds. |
500, 502, 503, 504 | Same retries as 429. |
| Validation errors | Stops right away and shows Social Champ's error message. |
Turn on Continue On Fail to put the error on the output item instead of stopping the workflow. Then one bad channel does not stop the rest of a batch.
Each post you create counts toward the REST write limit of 15 requests per minute. Listing channels is not rate limited. See Rate limits.
Known limits
- A retried create can make a second post. The node sends an
Idempotency-Keyheader, but Social Champ does not remove duplicates yet. - The node does not report whether a post went live. A successful response
means Social Champ accepted the post. It does not mean the network published
it. To check later, read it back with
GET /postsin the REST API. - The workspace is an ID, not a dropdown. Find workspace IDs in the Channel → Get Many results.
- Text and one image only. Video, carousels, first comments, drafts, approvals and per-platform options are not available in the node.
For anything the node does not cover, use n8n's HTTP Request node with the REST API. You can also connect an AI agent to the Social Champ MCP server, which has 44 tools.
